Artioli Findlay carries on the legacy of the David Findlay Galleries, which has been associated with fine paintings since it was founded in Kansas City, Missouri in 1870 by William Wadsworth Findlay as the Findlay Art Company.

Artioli Findlay was founded in 2006 by Ms. Pauline Findlay, who was formerly married to Michael Findlay, the fifth generation to be in the art business of the esteemed Findlay family. Rebecca Senior has joined Artioli Findlay as Senior Consultant. Ms. Senior, former Director of David Findlay Galleries, brings over 20 years experience in art-dealing with School of Paris painters.

Artioli Findlay specializes in works by contemporary American and French color oriented (figurative) representational artists who have been influenced by the Impressionists, Expressionists, and the Fauves. The extensive collection includes paintings (and works on paper) by French contemporary painters- Guy Bardone, Rene Genis, Gabriel Godard as well as two Bernard Cathelin tapestries, an extensive collection of Bernard Cathelin lithographs and smaller collections of artworks by Maurice Brianchon, Andre Brasilier, Roger Muhl, and other French artists. The subject of the paintings is color as explored in still lifes, landscapes and interiors.

Pauline Findlay has also introduced new artists to the collection, including sculptor Michael Lucero, a featured artist at the Art and Design Museum, New York, New York, and Paris based painter Christina Barolo.
